DRVAR, April 19 (Hina) - Deputy President of the Bosnian
Federation, Vladimir Soljic, on Saturday visited Drvar where he
held talks with the head of the Drvar and Mostar-based offices of
the international high representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Drvar's deputy mayor, Drago Tokmakcija, had been dismissed from his
position, at the decision of high representative, Carlos
Westendorp, following this week's killings of two Serbs in the
town.
Soljic said that after Croats had been killed, nobody had been
dismissed, proving unequal treatment towards Bosnian Croats.
"We want nothing more than equality, and we will not settle for
less," Soljic said.
He recalled that more Bosnian Serbs had returned to Drvar than
Croats into the whole of Republika Srpska, or more Bosniacs to Jajce
and Zepce (Bosnian Federation) that Croats to areas of the Bosnian
Federation controlled by Bosniacs.
The worst is that the Croat leadership in Bosnia-Herzegovina is
being blamed for the circumstances, Soljic said, adding "We will
raise our voices against such policy and inform the domestic and
international public about it".
