CROATIAN BLOCK OF DEMOCRATIC UNIONS ESTABLISHED

( Editorial: --> 5770 ) ZAGREB, April 9 (Hina) - Four Croatian unions on Thursday signed an agreement on establishing a Croatian democratic union block. The agreement obliges the Alliance of Independent Croatian Unions (SSSH), the Association of Croatian Public Services' Unions, the Union of Croatian Reporters and the Union of Croatian Typographical Workers to exert a joint effort in the realisation of social justice and basic human and union freedoms and rights. According to the founders, the newly established block - formed by two central unions with 28 associate branch unions, and two autonomous unions - would gather two thirds of union members in Croatia and represent a dominant power in all fields - economy, public services and public companies.
