SPLIT, April 2 (Hina) - Ambassadors - national coordinators from 16
countries of the Central European Initiative (CEI) started a
working meeting in Split on Thursday.
The meeting is chaired by Croatia.
An ambassador in the Croatian Foreign Ministry and national
coordinator in the CEI, Mirjana Mladineo, said the two-day meeting
would be dedicated to discussing joint projects of CEI member
countries and relations with other associations and organisations
on the international level.
The CEI is cooperating with the European Union, Council of Europe,
Organisation for Cooperation and Security in Europe, Organisation
for Economic Cooperation and Development and other organisations.
During the first day of the meeting, coordinators will discuss
transition projects and the implementation of the Sarajevo
declaration.
Participants in the meeting will also discuss preparations for a
meeting of political directors of foreign ministries of CEI member-
countries, to be held in Sofia on May 22, as well as a meeting of CEI
foreign ministers in Brijuni on June 5 and 6 and a meeting of CEI
premiers and foreign ministers in Zagreb on November 20 and 21.
