ZAGREB, March 26 (Hina) - Croatia is to become a full member of the
Danube Commission following the ratification of protocols signed
at a meeting of this regional association in Budapest on Thursday.
The protocols, signed on behalf of Croatia by the Croatian
Ambassador to Hungary, Zdenko Skrabalo, will be ratified by the
Commission's member-countries.
The Danube Commission is an important regional organisation in
charge of regulating and improving traffic on the Danube as well as
other forms of cooperation between Danube countries.
Members of the Danube Commission are Hungary, Russia, Yugoslavia,
Austria, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Romania and the Ukraine.
Croatia, Moldavia and Germany are soon to become new members of the
association.
