ZAGREB, March 26 (Hina) - Six Croatian innovators from Istria,
Karlovac, Kutina and Split will present their innovations at the
international innovations fair, to be held from March 27 to April 5
in Geneva.
Croatia's main asset this year is a safety seal by Split innovator
Ivo Jelavic, said the head of the Croatian Innovators' Association
Pavao Havlicek.
The innovation provides protection from unauthorised access and
use with specially secured devices and is already being
successfully applied in the Croatian Power Industry (HEP).
The State Institute for Measurement and Standardisation, Croatian
Post and Telecommunications, Croatian Customs Administration and
numerous companies from abroad showed interest in the innovation.
Jelavic protected his innovation through the State Institute for
Patents and the Swiss Office for Patents covering several
countries.
Croatian innovators will also present a device preventing the
overloading of cranes by Branko Bulic from Fazana, a rotation
aircraft by Franjo Krznaric from Kutina, a device for throwing out
water from boats by wave energy by Pula innovator Djuro Viraga and
late Slavko Matkovic, a device for dynamic balancing of mass of
rotating parts by Karlovac innovators Antun Fuduric and Branko
Liksa and a rotating puzzle for children by Ratko Antic from Labin.
Since 1995 Croatian innovators have been participating regularly
in the exhibition winning numerous awards in strong competition of
some 1,000 exhibits.
Last year, Croatian innovators won nine awards for 11 exhibited
innovations.
