CROATIA PRESENTS TOURIST OFFER AT BELGIAN FAIR

( Editorial: --> 2343 ) BRUSSELS, Mar 25 (Hina) - The Croatian tourist offer was presented at the 40th Belgian Holiday Salon in Brussels Wednesday. Croatian tourist experts assess that on the basis of interest shown at the fair, 20 per cent more Belgians might visit Croatia this year. According to Gerard Brackx, managing director of Belgian company Jetair, the company flew 6,200 Belgian tourists to the southern Croatian port of Dubrovnik last year, and has already sold 7,000 flights for this year. Last year Croatia was visited by 29,000 Belgian tourists, which was 52 per cent more than in 1996. They accounted for 215,000 overnight stays, i.e. 81 per cent more than the year before.
