ANKARA, March 8 (Hina) - Official Turkish sources and the Turkish
public are closely following the visit of their Foreign Minister
Ismail Cem who arrived in Belgrade on Saturday.
Cem arrived in Belgrade to relay a message from Turkish President
Demirel to the Yugoslav President, Slobodan Milosevic.
Unofficial sources said Demirel called on Milosevic to show
moderation, underlining the unpredictable repercussions of the
current military and police 'cleansing' action in Kosovo.
Turkey is the first NATO member country to express readiness to
deploy its forces in Kosovo.
Ankara fears not only the worsening of the situation in the area,
but also the fate of about 25,000 Turks in Prizren and Pristina.
