MOSTAR, March 1 (Hina) - Two British reporters who were reported
missing on Saturday in south Bosnia-Herzegovina were found in good
health the same night.
The reporters, Jeffrey Pickett and Michael Grimes, were found
Saturday night near the town of Buna (near Mostar) without any
injuries, but visible signs of exhaustion caused by long wondering
in the nearby hills, the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Interior
Ministry said.
An investigation revealed that the two reporters were met by three
unidentified persons in a black Mercedes or BMW.
They assaulted Pickett and Grimes and took their camera and video
tapes.
The reporters then ran off into the hills and wondered about until
they arrived on the M17 highway and made their way towards Mostar.
On route they were rescued by Mostar police Saturday night.
An investigation into the assault on the two reporters is ongoing.
The reporters were taping private houses, the Herzegovina-Neretva
Canton police said.
