OPERATION OF MLADEN NALETILIC TUTA POSTPONED

ZAGREB, Dec 28 (Hina) - The Croatian Justice Ministry on Tuesday reported that a doctors' team taking care of the health of Mladen Naletilic Tuta said that an operation on Naletilic's critical narrowing of the aorta had been postponed. The operation was to take place in December 1999, but due to a viral infection it is rescheduled for January 2000. The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) indicted Naletilic last year, for crimes against humanity, the violatio of the Geneva Convention, war laws and customs which he committed as the commander of a so-called convicts battalion in areas under the supervision of the Croatian Council of Defence in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1993.
