MOSTAR, Dec 23 (Hina) - Interior Minister of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina Mehmed Zilic said at Thursday's session of the Federal Government in Mostar that Croatian Interior Minister Ivan Penic had promised Fikret Abdic would
be extradited to Bosnia-Herzegovina. During the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Sarajevo Government had treated him as a secessionist who cooperated with Serb troops. Zilic claimed Penic had said Abdic was safe and would be apprehended and extradited as soon as the Croatian Justice Ministry issues a warrant. The Federal Government at the session decided that, as part of the Agreement on Special Relations between Croatia and the Bosnian Federation, the Federal Justice Ministry should investigate problems regarding the extradition of war crimes suspects and suggest solutions.
