MOSTAR, Dec 11 (Hina) - "With tears in their eyes and profound grief the Croats in custody in The Hague received the news of the death of (Croatian) President (Franjo) Tudjman," high-ranking Bosnian Croat official Ivo Andric Luzanski
told Mostar-based Croatian Radio Herceg-Bosna over the telephone on Saturday. Conveying the words of Croatian prisoners he met during his visit to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague, Luzanski said President Tudjman's passing was a great loss. President Tudjman was the most important authority, the protector and leader of the Croat people, said Luzanski, the president of Bosnia's Croat-Muslim Federation and vice president of Bosnia's Croatian Democratic Union. Luzanski singled out President Tudjman's role in the signing of the Washington and Dayton peace agreements, which he said led to peace in Bosnia-Herzegovina.(hina) ha mm
