ZAGREB, Dec 16 (Hina) - The Croatian Association of Managers and Entrepreneurs, CROMA '99, on Thursday named the winners of a competition for this year's most successful managers and entrepreneurs in Croatian economy.

The award for manager of the year in a large company went to Ante
Babic, the manager of food-industry "Podravka", and to Boris Lalic,
the manager of the "Zagrebacka Pivovara" brewery.
The award for manager of the year in a medium-sized company went to
Ante Mandic, the owner of Zagreb-based company "IN2".
Ivica Caleta, the founder of Zagreb-based communications company
"Global Komunikacije", won the manager of the year in a small
company award.
Julius Pevalek, the manager of Zagreb's public transport company
ZET, won the manager of the year award in the public sector business
company category.
A charter for outstanding business results by the manager of a
foreign company in Croatia went to the manager of "Diners Club
Adriatic", Zarko Kraljevic.
Robert Bradic, the director of Umag-based oil company "OMV
Istrabenz", won the entrepreneur of the year award.
Typical of this year's competition was the fact that almost all
winners come from the manufacturing sector, whereas in the past
candidates from the trade or financial sector dominated.
