PULA/ZAGREB, Dec 2 (Hina) - The designer and technical editor of Croatian daily paper "Glas Istre", Mario Rosanda, is the winner of this year's European Newspaper Design Award in the special pages category. Rosanda won the award for
the drawing illustrating an article on a world exhibition on the Maya culture, which was staged at Palazzo Grassi in Venice, Italy. This year's competition was organised by three publications, Germany's "Medium Magazine", Austria's "Oesterreichicher Journalist", and the Dutch "De Journalist", and featured 161 publications from 21 European country. The awards will be presented on 4 February in Aachen, Germany. The papers and pages which have been awarded will adorn the walls of Aachen's International Journalistic Museum.(hina) ha mm
