On behalf of the Croatian people in Bosnia and on his own behalf Jelavic expressed sincere condolences to the family of President Tudjman, the Croatian Democratic Union, the Croatian National Parliament's Vlatko Pavletic who is the acting president of Croatia, the Government and to the whole Croatian people. On behalf of the Croatian people in Bosnia and on his own behalf
Jelavic expressed sincere condolences to the family of President
Tudjman, the Croatian Democratic Union, the Croatian National
Parliament's Vlatko Pavletic who is the acting president of
Croatia, the Government and to the whole Croatian people.
The Croatian people in Bosnia experienced the departure of
President Tudjman as a special loss for this community, as a loss of
a man, leader and victor who had protected Bosnian Croats at moments
of hardship and defended it in the struggle for the legitimate
rights of the Croat people in Bosnia
At this difficult moment I call on Croats in Bosnia to continue, in
dignified manner and resolutely, going along Tudjman's path toward
the realisation of full rights as regards the equality and
sovereignty of the Croatian people in Bosnia-Herzegovina, said
Jelavic.
The HDZ BiH Presidency has convened an extraordinary session for
15:00 hors Saturday, while the central commemorative meeting in
memory of the deceased President Tudjman will be held at 18:00 hrs
in Mostar.
The Bosnian Croat leadership is expected to make a decision on
proclaiming a period of mourning in Croat-populated Bosnian
areas.
