ZAGREB, Nov 23 (Hina) - The Presidency of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) on Tuesday discussed and unanimously adopted a draft constitutional bill which would introduce into Croatia's legal system the institute of temporary
disability of the President of the Republic to perform constitutional duties.

Democratic Union (HDZ) on Tuesday discussed and unanimously
adopted a draft constitutional bill which would introduce into
Croatia's legal system the institute of temporary disability of the
President of the Republic to perform constitutional duties.#L#
According to a statement from the HDZ Secretariat, the Presidency
voiced concern about the condition of President Franjo Tudjman, and
expressed resolute advocacy of full stability of the state and
effective performance of all state institutions.
The HDZ Presidency authorised party vice president and the
president of the party's parliamentary bench Vladimir Seks to
complete on behalf of the HDZ talks with opposition parties to the
effect of reaching consensus relative to the mentioned
constitutional bill.
The Presidency supported parliament president Vlatko Pavletic in
his efforts to reach full agreement among parliamentary parties
relative to the final constitutional bill, which parliament should
adopt on 24 November.
