ZAGREB ZAGREB, Dec 2 (Hina) - The Croatian World Congress (HSK) started a two-day conference in Zagreb on Thursday. The HSK includes national congresses from 29 countries which have larger Croat communities and each year the leaders
of Croat emigrants' associations are organising conferences in Zagreb. There is an estimated 3.5 million Croats living outside of Croatia. The main topics of this year's conference will be the situation in the HSK on the national and international levels, the needs of the Croat people on the threshold of the third millennium, and HSK's role and preparations for the 2000 conference. The leaders of Croat emigrant associations will also discuss the upcoming parliamentary elections. The conference will be attended by Croatian vice premiers and ministers.(hina) rml
