ZADAR, Nov 29 (Hina) - A project for the demining of houses in Paljuv, a village near Zadar in the central coastal area, began on Monday. The project will also include demining in the nearby areas of Pristeg and Zemunik Gornji. The
project was financially assisted with US$50,000 by Lynne Montgomery, the wife of the United States Ambassador to Croatia, who collected the funds during the American Week in Croatia, held in Zagreb between 11 and 16 November. Mrs Montgomery today met the residents of Paljuv, saying she was glad she could assist in the mine-clearing project because, she added, mined ground was a big hurdle to the return of pre-war residents.(hina) ha
