Participants of the seminar were also addressed by a representative of the Council of Europe, Denis Bribosia. The Council of Europe is satisfied with the interest Croatian authorities have shown in the issue of human rights, Bribosia said. He expressed satisfaction with the fact that Council of Europe experts who are experienced in the work of government representatives and the implementation of the European Convention on the protection of human rights and basic freedoms would also participate in the conference. Human rights are an every-day challenge for all countries, he stressed. Croatian Government representative in Strasbourg, Lidija Lukina- Karajkovic, asserted that the European Convention, subsequent to its ratification at the Croatian National Parliament, had become a part of the Croatian justice system.
