MINISTERS OUTLINE NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION PROGRAMME

ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) - Croatian Minister for European Integration Ljerka Mintas-Hodak and Education and Sports Minister Nansi Ivanisevic on Tuesday held a meeting with representatives of the missions to Croatia of the European Union, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and the United Nations. The two ministers outlined the National Human Rights Education Programme. OSCE Mission head Bernard Poncet told reporters after the meeting the programme was an important step forward, and that the OSCE would encourage its implementation. Mintas-Hodak handed copies of the National Programme to European Commission special envoy to Croatia Per Vinther, Poncet, and the head of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights regional office, Bays Wak-Woy.
