FOJNICA, Nov 6 (Hina) - Ambassadors of 14 countries accredited in Sarajevo, on Saturday travelled to the central Bosnian town of Fojnica to visit the old Franciscan monastery. Their visit was organised at an initiative of Bosnian
friars who wanted to notify foreign diplomats of the cultural heritage and value of this monastery and ask them to help preserve it. The guests were welcomed by the monastery's guardian Janko Ljubos. The Bosnian Franciscan community's head, Friar Petar Andjelovic, acquainted them with the history of this Catholic order in Bosnia and the history of the country. Professor Nedzad Kurto talked about procedures necessary for the renovation of the monastery. After that, the ambassadors visited the monastery in the nearby town of Kresevo.(hina) ms
