ZAGREB, Nov 5 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) will start the election campaign on December 3, the House of Representatives will be dissolved on November 12, and the elections will be called on November 15, the party
spokesman Ivica Ropus told a news conference in Zagreb on Friday. Claims that President Tudjman's condition has disrupted HDZ's election activities are not true, Ropus said, adding Tudjman would head HDZ election lists in all electoral units.

The head of the President's Office, Ivica Kostovic, said the Office
was operating normally and its main segment (the Cabinet) was close
to President Tudjman with all the necessary communication services
available.
"From the first day on, the public has been informed in detail about
the President's condition through statements issued by an
independent doctors' consultation, which need not be amended nor
should anything be excluded from them", said Kostovic.
The statements of the doctors' team following President Tudjman's
condition make it possible to follow the whole postoperative
course, including the pathohistological findings which were
presented yesterday in an objective manner, Kostovic said.
"Anyone who has underwent surgery, and this can be checked in
available reference books, was able to see what it was all about.
This is a minor thing, however, since it had to be operated on, it
requires recovery", Kostovic said.
The names of HDZ candidates for the House of Representatives and the
party election programme will be presented at a session of the HDZ
Head Committee, the Main and the Honorary Election Headquarters and
all party bodies, to be held on November 20, Ropus said.
He also commented on the request by the Opposition Six that the
House of Representatives not be dissolved before the expiry of its
mandate (November 27), adding the request "was unnecessary
dramatising, to which the Opposition Six have a tendency".
Ropus described as nonsense the request to transfer the powers of
the President of the Republic to the Parliament as well as
statements about the need to call both the parliamentary and the
presidential elections.
An HDZ vice-president Ivic Pasalic, who told reporters the seats of
election headquarters had been determined by electoral units, said
he expected the HDZ would win the elections.
