ZAGREB, Nov 1 (Hina) - As of November 1, the value added tax of zero per cent is being applied to bread, milk, books, medicines on the list of the Croatian Health Insurance Institute and some medicinal aids and substitutes, which
should ensure cheaper prices for these articles, in line with adopted Amendments to the Law on Added Value Tax. At the same time, Amendments to the Law on Special Taxes for tobacco products, personal vehicles with over 75kW and luxury products has taken effect, raising the tariff, along with the prices. According to last week's announcements by some bakeries and trade companies, the prices of bread will decrease from 11 to 16.5 pr cent and the price of milk by about 18 per cent.(hina) lml

list of the Croatian Health Insurance Institute and some medicinal
aids and substitutes, which should ensure cheaper prices for these
articles, in line with adopted Amendments to the Law on Added Value
Tax.
