ZAGREB, Oct 13 (Hina) - Expressed in 1997 prices, Croatia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter of 1999 amounted to US$4.43 billion. Expressed in prices from 1997, the real decrease of GDP in relation to the same period
last year amounted to 0.6 per cent, the State Institute for Statistics reported. Following a real fall of 4.2 per cent in the last quarter of 1998 and a 1.5 per cent decrease in the first quarter of 1999, this is the third consecutive quarter GDP has been decreasing. The State Institute for Statistics said quarterly data for the period between 1997 and 1999 were preliminary and subject to revision.
