Matesa said sometimes export companies have different prices for the domestic and foreign markets, and export prices were an issue of business policy. Indemnities set aside from the government budget for political prisoners this year are 100 million kuna (about US$14.2 million), out of which 40 million kuna (US$5.7 million) was being paid based on the days spent in prison. So far some 8,000 political prisoners received a quarter of indemnation they have a right to, the second quarter is to be paid in the next several days and the entire amount will be paid by the end of the year, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Joso Skara said in reply to an MP's question.
