ZAGREB, Oct 27 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Defence Minister Lieutenant General Kresimir Cosic on Wednesday received the Canadian ambassador to Croatia, Donald Smith, at his request. The talks focused on the continuation of the work of an
investigative commission of Canadian armed forces which are probing the alleged subjection of Canadian soldiers to toxins during their participation in UN's peace mission in Croatia. Cosic stressed that the Croatian side, in line with friendly relations between Croatia and Canada, expressed full readiness and support to a speedier and good work of th Canadian commission in Croatia through the work of joint expert commissions, the Defence Ministry said in a statement. The Canadian commission was once before permitted work in Croatia in this case, in the area of the former UN Protection Area sector South.
