ZAGREB, Oct 19 (Hina) - Croatian interior Minister Ivan Penic gave reporters at a news conference in Zagreb Tuesday the results of the "Kor" action carried out in Zagreb and other towns from October 14 to 19. The goal of the action
was to additionally strengthen the work of police at night and to, with the cooperation of the State Inspection, carry out the control of the work of catering and other facilities, Penic said. In the action, 735 raids, ambushes and blockades were carried out 1,090 facilities were controlled. Out of the total, 451 violated the regulations about working hours and the IDs of 17,456 persons were checked. In the raids 43 persons were apprehended on the basis of arrest warrants issued against them. Four hundred and eighteen persons were under criminal proceedings.
