According to the Sarajevo media, the 52-cm-long baby, weighing
three kilograms, was born two minutes after midnight in the city
maternity hospital and it is the first child in the Mevic family.
Assisting during the delivery were doctors Idriz Bukvic and Sebija
Izetbegovic.
At a ceremony, to be held this afternoon in Sarajevo, the baby will
be declared the six billionth person in the world by U.N. Secretary
General Kofi Annan, who is on an official visit to Bosnia-
Herzegovina since Monday.
