STABILITY PACT'S ECONOMY TASK FORCE FINISHES MEETING IN BARI

BARI, Oct 9 (Hina) - The Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe's Task Force for economic issues, on Saturday ended its inaugural session in Bari, Italy. Present at the Bari event were 57 subjects. In addition to 15 European Union member-states, other countries- participants were Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania, the Russian Federation, the United States of America, Slovenia and Turkey. Countries that offered assistance are Canada and Japan. International organisations in capacity of participants were the European Commission, the OSCE and the Council of Europe. Other organisations that assisted were the United Nations, UNHCR, NATO, the Organisation for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Western European Union (WEU), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Countries-observers were the Czech Republic, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland and Ukraine, while guest were Montenegro, UNMIK, the Office of the High Representative (in Bosnia-Herzegovina) and the European Parliament. In addition, Royaumont Process, the organisation for Black Sea economic cooperation (BSEC), the Central European Initiative (CEI), the Southeastern European Cooperation Initiative (SECI) and the Southeastern Cooperation Process (SEECP) also attended that Bari session.
