MOSTAR, Oct 9 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-
Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) on Saturday voiced dissatisfaction with how
results of an investigation into the murder of a federal deputy
interior minister, Jozo Leutar, had been announced a day before,
and stressed it had lost confidence in the work of institutions of
authorities.
During Friday's news conference, representatives of the UN Mission
in Bosnia-Herzegovina and officials of the Croat-Moslem
Federation's Interior Ministry announced no progress in the
probe.
They offered one million convertible marks for any information
about assassins of the late Leutar, killed in a car-bomb explosion
in the mid-March in Sarajevo.
The HDZ BiH believes that yesterday's news conference showed once
again that international organisations and federal Interior
Ministry had neither strength nor possibilities to solve the most
elementary security problems, particularly in the case of Leutar's
murder, read a statement issued by this political party's
information office on Saturday.
The party holds that the offer of one million marks for information
on assassination reflects not only inefficiency of responsible
bodies but also it offends the dignity of the family, people and
party to which the late Jozo Leutar belonged."
HDZ BiH, whose members Leutar was, maintains that institutions
engaged in the investigation have thus missed yet another chance to
regain confidence of the public when it is about the murder of Jozo
Leutar.
