SARAJEVO, Oct 8 (Hina) - The decision of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina to reduce the country's military forces by 15 per cent will be implemented by the end of the year, the Defence Minister of the Croat-Muslim Federation,
Miroslav Prce, told Friday's issue of "Dnevni avaz" daily. Prce explained that the first phase of the process would consist of reducing the number of armed forces in the two Bosnian entities whereas an appropriate model for reducing weaponry and equipment was still being sought. According to Bosnian Serb officials, the number of Serb officers and professional soldiers will be reduced through retirement while in the Croat-Muslim Federation only part of active army members will be retired.
