ZAGREB ZAGREB, Sept 30 (Hina) - Croatia's Minister for European Integration, Ljerka Mintas Hodak, opened a two-day seminar on the European Social Charter at Zagreb's Law Faculty on Thursday. The event was organised by a working group
in charge of investigating whether Croatia's legislation is in harmony with the European Social Charter, with the help of the Council of Europe and the Law Faculty. Its purpose is to acquaint Croatian experts with the Charter with the aim of harmonising the country's legislation with the document. The seminar is attended by legal experts from Croatia and abroad, state officials, and union representatives. Croatia signed the Charter this year but it still has to ratify it once the country's legislation is harmonised with the document, Mintas Hodak said. The seminar, which is the second such event held in Croatia, focuses on union rights and social security.(hina) rml
