LONDON, Sept 24 (Hina) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is interested in principle in investing in Croatia's Dubrovacka Bank, Croatian National Bank governor Marko Skreb said in London on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters at a celebration of the second anniversary of the British-Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Skreb said he discussed EBRD's possible investment with its president, Horst Koehler. The EBRD would be willing to invest in Dubrovacka Bank on condition that it does not do so individually, but with a strategic partner. Skreb acquainted Koehler with how Croatia had overcome its banking sector crisis. Koehler encouraged Croatia to pursue with measures aimed at the rehabilitation of the sector.
