ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Social Liberal Party parliamentary bench, Djurdja Adlesic, on Monday commented on a ruling party announcement that it was considering the possibility of abandoning the idea of a
non-fixed quota for the election of MPs from the Diaspora, and introducing the postal vote. "I'm afraid of all they (the ruling Croatian Democratic Union - HDZ) might be ready to do," Adlesic told Hina, adding she was sure the announcement would embitter voters and help the opposition win the impending parliamentary elections. The Opposition Six party group objects to such solutions and will warn the public that it had been the ruling party to always violate agreements, Adlesic said. Asked how the public might react to the former solution, according to which 12 MPs are elected in the Diaspora, Adlesic said the public would be angered by the regulation on the "12 wise men"
ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Social
Liberal Party parliamentary bench, Djurdja Adlesic, on Monday
commented on a ruling party announcement that it was considering
the possibility of abandoning the idea of a non-fixed quota for the
election of MPs from the Diaspora, and introducing the postal
vote.
"I'm afraid of all they (the ruling Croatian Democratic Union - HDZ)
might be ready to do," Adlesic told Hina, adding she was sure the
announcement would embitter voters and help the opposition win the
impending parliamentary elections.
The Opposition Six party group objects to such solutions and will
warn the public that it had been the ruling party to always violate
agreements, Adlesic said.
Asked how the public might react to the former solution, according
to which 12 MPs are elected in the Diaspora, Adlesic said the public
would be angered by the regulation on the "12 wise men" who, she
added, "know too little about Croatia, any pay taxes somewhere
else."
