ZAGREB, Sept 15 (Hina) - The first generation of the "Ban Josip Jelacic" war school successfully completed a one-year-long programme on Wednesday. In line with a Croatian President Franjo Tudjman decision, the graduates will be
assigned to responsible positions in the Croatian Armed Forces and the Croatian Army within 15 days. The first generation at the Croatian military academy of "Petar Zrinski" included 14 senior officials of the Croatian Armed Forces. ZAGREB, Sept 15 (Hina) - The first generation of the "Ban Josip
Jelacic" war school successfully completed a one-year-long
programme on Wednesday.
In line with a Croatian President Franjo Tudjman decision, the
graduates will be assigned to responsible positions in the Croatian
Armed Forces and the Croatian Army within 15 days.
The first generation at the Croatian military academy of "Petar
Zrinski" included 14 senior officials of the Croatian Armed
Forces.
The "Ban Josip Jelacic" war school was successfully completed by
Lt. General Mile Cuk, major generals Marijan Marekovic, Slavko
Baric, Milenko Filipovic, Ivan Kapular, Jozo Milicevic, Stanko
Sopta, and Ilija Nakic, brigadier generals Renato Romic and Dragan
Baric, Commodore Ivica Tolic, brigadier generals Ivan Obrovac and
Josip Stojkovic, and Colonel Zarko Pesa.
Croatian Defence Minister Pavao Miljavac and the head of the
Croatian Armed Forces Main Staff, Vice Admiral Davor Domazet,
presented the graduates with diplomas, gold medals and rings and
lab tops.
The successful completion of education of the Croatian senior
officials, who were commanders in the Homeland War, is the proof
that the entire military education system reached the world level ,
and at the same time it adjusted to military needs and peacetime
demands of the entire country, Miljavac said.
The one-year long programme included seven courses, a study trip in
Croatia and abroad, and graduation thesis. The courses were held by
recognised civilian and military instructors from Croatia and
abroad.
