ZAGREB ZAGREB, Aug 17 (Hina) - Croatian President's envoy, Defence Minister Pavao Miljavac, on Tuesday night closed the 2nd World Military Games which took place in Zagreb and at which more than 6,500 athletes from 78 countries took
part. Miljavac stressed President Tudjman's support for the Games at the very beginning. "The residents of Zagreb will remember August 1999," when the whole world gathered in Zagreb, Miljavac said. Director of the 2nd World Military Games institution, Lieu tenant General Josip Lucic said the Games confirmed in the best way the motto Friendship through sports, and wished all the athletes a good trip home until a new meeting at the 3rd World Military Games. President of the International Council for Military Games (CISM), Gianni Gola, thanked the Croatian army, Government, citizens and residents of Zagreb for their welcome and love with which they greeted the young soldiers-athletes from all over the world.(hina) l
