POLICE COMMENT ON SCUFFLE BETWEEN GUARDS AND BANK'S WORKERS

ZAGREB, Sept 11 (Hina) - According to still unconfirmed information released by Zagreb police this afternoon, two employees of Komercijalna Banka - Admira R. aged 38 and Branka T. aged 41 - sustained light injuries during Saturday morning's scuffle between guards of the "Tigar Cikatic" security agency and workers and unionists of the bank. Branka T. received medical help in Vinogradska hospital in Zagreb. A police investigation is still under way, said a police official, Josip Begovic, at a news conference on Saturday. At about 06.00 am Saturday, 12 "Tigar Cikatic" security guards entered the building of Komercijalna Banka in Frankopanska Street, probably on the grounds of a decision of the bank's trustee in bankruptcy, Pero Hrkac, who signed a contract with the agency on guards' protection of the bank's offices. After letting the guards come in, the doorkeeper informed the bank's workers of their arrival. Workers gathered in front of the bank in order to force the guards to leave the building. About 09.30 am policemen arrived on the spot, and then employees ad unionists tried to enter the bank behind the police, getting into a fight with the guards.
