ZAGREB'S WORKERS PROTEST AGAINST BANKRUPTCY POLICY ZAGREB, Sept 2 (Hina) - Several hundreds workers of Zagreb-based companies undergoing bankruptcy proceedings gathered Thursday morning to take a protest walk towards the Croatian
National Bank and the Justice Ministry. The workers are protesting against the bankruptcy policy which the Zagreb office of the Alliance of Independent Unions of Croatia (SSSH) said was affecting exclusively the workers. The workers are mainly of the Komercijalna Bank, Savric, Sintal, Astra, Gortan and Javor companies. They were all joined by representatives of opposition parties -- Social Democratic Party (SDP), Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) and Liberal Party (LS). Headed by the Zagreb SSSH office head, Mario Ivekovic, the protesters walked to the Croatian National Bank building which they hold the most responsible for the difficult situation in banking. The workers are protesting against the bankruptcy policy which the
Zagreb office of the Alliance of Independent Unions of Croatia
(SSSH) said was affecting exclusively the workers.

being destroyed instead of restructured.
The final goal is the Justice Ministry.
Ivekovic said workers would give a protest letter to every of these
institutions, and a memorandum to the Government.
