PRISTINA, Aug 16 (Hina) - Investigators of the International Tribunal for War Crimes Committed in the Regions of the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Monday commenced the exhumation of new mass grave sites discovered near Dakovica, Kosovo.
Ross Ardem, of the ICTY reported on Monday that the during the first day of the investigation, the bodies of three murdered people had been found as well as the limbs belonging to other bodies. This has made the job of identification somewhat difficult. Ardem said that a medical team and investigators from the ICTY are investigating the murder and exhumation of 140 persons who were buried in the town cemetery in Dakovica. They are also collecting testimonies by witnesses concerning the massacres committed in the village of Meja near Dakovica.(hina) sp
