VUKOVAR VUKOVAR, Aug 3 (Hina) - Members of the Croatian Humanitarian Association management board from South Ontario, Canada, visited the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar on Tuesday. The delegation was headed by the Association
chairman, Zvonko Luburic. After being received by deputy mayor Stipo Seremet and president of the city branch of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Petar Mlinaric, the Canadian Croats visited the Croatian Homeland War Soldiers Alley at the Vukovar New Cemetery, as well as the Ovcara mass grave monument where they laid wreaths and lit candles. The delegation also visited the Croatian Homeland War Soldiers Home which was reconstructed this spring, in which the South Ontario Croatian Humanitarian Association participated. Accompanying the delegation from Canada was also the Croatian general consul in Toronto, Ivan Picukaric.(hina) lml
