DUBROVNIK, Aug 23 (Hina) - All members of a Croatian team of experts
dealing with the issue of Croatia's border with the Yugoslav
Republic of Montenegro on Monday held a meeting in Dubrovnik, at
which they reached an agreement regarding the issue.
According to team chairman Stijepo Obad, the Yugoslav side will be
requested to state its position on the matter.
Attending today's, the expert team's eighth session, was Hrvoje
Kacic, the president of Croatia's State Commission for Borders, of
which the Expert Team is part.
Obad said the experts had noticed the Yugoslav side was stalling all
talks regarding Prevlaka, Croatia's southern-most tip bordering
with Montenegro, and the southern border, and that during joint
meetings, no longer attended by Montenegrin representatives, it
insisted on discussing the same issues.
"At today's meeting, which also discussed the Debeli Brijeg and
Konfin border crossings and the denationalisation of the Prevlaka
peninsula, it has been concluded that it should be suggested to the
Croatian government and competent ministries that Prevlaka be
included into Croatia's infrastructure system, because it would be
normal that (Prevlaka) be supplied with water and power from
Croatia, and not from Herceg Novi (Montenegro)," Obad said.
