RIJEKA-ALLIANCE-Političke stranke PRESS CONFERENCE - PRIMORJE-GORSKI KOTAR ALLIANCE RIJEKA, Aug 10 (Hina) - A pre-election coalition between the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) is a logical
step taken by two leading opposition parties which are prepared to take over the government in Croatia and be a worthy alternative to the Croatian Democratic Union, said the political secretary of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar Alliance Zoran Dragicevic at a press conference Tuesday. He claimed that Croatia required a strong social democratic and entrepreneurial liberalisation. He expressed hope that the "HSLS & SDP coalition will enable our country to bloom as did Brandt's coalition of social-democrats and liberals in Germany". RIJEKA, Aug 10 (Hina) - A pre-election coalition between the Social
Democratic Party (SDP) and the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS)
is a logical step taken by two leading opposition parties which are
prepared to take over the government in Croatia and be a worthy
alternative to the Croatian Democratic Union, said the political
secretary of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar Alliance Zoran Dragicevic
at a press conference Tuesday.
He claimed that Croatia required a strong social democratic and
entrepreneurial liberalisation. He expressed hope that the "HSLS &
SDP coalition will enable our country to bloom as did Brandt's
coalition of social-democrats and liberals in Germany".
MP Nikola Ivanis said that Croatia's official politics was simply
summonsed to appear in Sarajevo to access the Stability Pact and to
sign the agreement with Bosnia-Herzegovina on its borders. Neither
of these acts were to the liking and will of the Croatian
Government.
It was alarming to see the isolation surrounding Croatia's
president while in Sarajevo. Relevant leaders in international
politics paid more attention to the presidents and heads of
countries which are not particularly significant to the success of
the Pact, said Ivanis.
He believes that Croatia's Justice Minister Separovic should
resign immediately as a sign of morality and resulting from his
inconsistent behaviour with regard the Crimes Tribunal in The Hague
which has all the necessary international political instruments to
implement and achieve all its demands.
