which hit north-western Turkey.

In a statement issued in Zagreb, the ministry said Croatia's
Istanbul-based consulate had contacted Croatian students
attending a Turkish language summer course, who are said to be well
and safe. They have also been enabled to contact their families at
home.

while further information may be obtained from the Foreign Ministry
in Zagreb at 481 22 48 and 456 99 64, and from the Croatian Embassy in
Ankara at 0090 312 437 95 44.
