ZAGREB, Aug 13 (Hina) - The Krsko nuclear power plant jointly owned by Croatia and Slovenia and located on Slovenian territory, in July produced 453,273 Mwh of electricity. The plant worked to its full capacity and 98.3 per cent
usage, representatives of the plant reported Friday. According to a monthly activities report, the plant on average raised the water temperature of the Sava river by 1.8 degrees Celsius. At one stage this figure was 2.7 degrees which is 0.3 degrees less than the allowed temperature. The report further notes that radio-active levels remained in their allowable limits. All liquid and gas emissions were within the legal limit and eight barrels of waste were stored. This brings the total number of barrels containing waste located around the plant to 3979.(hina)
