ZAGREB, July 16 (Hina) - Croatian and Slovene negotiating delegations met in Strmol Castle near Slovene capital Ljubljana on Friday to discuss open issues related to the Slovenia-based, jointly owned nuclear power plant Krsko.
According to a statement from the Croatian Ministry of Economy, the two delegations discussed the latest draft of an inter-state agreement with adequate supplements, and the draft of a social agreement. The delegations, headed by Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges and Slovene counterpart Teja Petrin, also harmonised certain previously contentious issues, and achieved progress in other issues as well, the statement added. It was agreed to continue negotiations, and to consider the possibility of presenting the remaining open issues to the two countries' premiers and governments in the near future. Porges explained Croatia's views regarding the unfinished
Croatian-Slovene negotiations on approaching markets being held as
part of the final stage in Croatia's accessing the World Trade
Organisation.
