between August 29 and September 3, the assembly's vice president,
Ivan Jakovcic, and Istra County coordinator for the preparation of
the school, announced on Wednesday.
Some 150 participants from 20 countries will discuss regionalism,
culture, tourism, economic development, and social issues on
regional levels, Klapcic told reporters in Pazin.
Lecturers will be representatives of the European Commission, the
Council of Europe, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in
Europe, and the European Regions Assembly.

He believes the summer school will also be an opportunity to discuss
the problem of decentralisation, and the necessity of
decentralising Croatia.
Jakovcic added the government's Office for European Integration
provided technical assistance for the summer school. Financial
assistance is also expected.
