ZAGREB, July 16 (Hina) - Representatives of the Croatian Economy Ministry, Institution for the Improvement of Personal Skills 'Medius' and the international organisation "Junior Achievement" on Friday signed an agreement on
cooperation in implementing a trial programme of additional training in entrepreneurhsip and economy for primary and secondary school students in 1999/2000. The programme, to be implemented in line with the Junior Achievement system, was signed by Deputy Economy Minister Jasna Boric, 'Medius' representative Nenad Maljkovic and 'Junior Achievement' director and the president of the board of directors for Croatia, Michael Glazer. on Friday signed an agreement on cooperation in implementing a
trial programme of additional training in entrepreneurhsip and
economy for primary and secondary school students in 1999/2000.
The programme, to be implemented in line with the Junior
Achievement system, was signed by Deputy Economy Minister Jasna
Boric, 'Medius' representative Nenad Maljkovic and 'Junior
Achievement' director and the president of the board of directors
for Croatia, Michael Glazer.
Another agreement on trial implementation of the Junior
Achievement programme of additional training in entrepreneurship
and economy of primary and secondary school students was signed by
Education Minister Bozidar Pugelnik, 'Medius' representative
Maljkovic and Junior Achievement's Glazer.
The signing ceremony was also attended by US Ambassador William
Montgomery.
Junior Achievement is the largest and best organised international
organisation for the training of young people in economy and
entrepreneurship. It was founded in the United States in 1919 and
its courses are attended by nearly four million students in 106
countries.
Courses in Croatia will be conducted by economic experts-
volunteers and all courses will be free of charge.
