Zagreb, Aug 9 (Hina) - The President of the Croatian National Sabor, Vlatko Pavletic, on Monday received Indian Ambassador to Zagreb, Udai Singh, at his own request. During the talks the two interlocutors stressed very good and
friendly relations between India and Croatia. They also pointed to the necessity to foster these ties, particularly in the economic sector. Very good interparliamentary ties also contribute to the friendship and understanding between the two countries. The concrete reason for Monday's meeting was India's asking Croatia to support the nomination of the Vice President of the Indian Parliament's upper house, Najma Heptulla, for the post of the President of he Interparliamentary Union. Heptulla is currently the only candidate for that post.
