SPLIT, July 27 (Hina) - The fire which broke out at 2 pm on Tuesday on a waste disposal site near Trogir (central Dalmatia) was localised around 9 pm tonight, the Split County fire brigade command reported late tonight. Participating
in an operation to put out the fire were the Split County fire brigade and 11 volunteer fire brigades from the county, with the assistance of three canadair planes and two Croatian Air Force helicopters. The fire consumed about 100-150 hectares of dry grass and underbrush, the county fire brigade reported. The fire, which in the afternoon spread to the area of Labin through which a railway line runs, caused problems in domestic and international railway traffic and on the county road Plano-Labin-Drnis. Railway and road traffic has been normalised in the meantime.(hina) rml
