SO FAR 71 COUNTRIES HAVE APPLIED FOR WORLD MILITARY GAMES IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB ZAGREB, July 28 (Hina) - So far 71 countries with 6489 athletes have confirmed their participation in the Second World Military Games which are to be held between 8 and 17 August in Zagreb, said a representative of the organisation of the Games, Colonel Zeljko Gobec, at a regular news conference. Representatives of all European member-states of CISM (the International Council for Military Sport), 33 of them, will arrive in the Croatian capital. Africa is to be represented by sportsmen and sportswomen from 15 countries, Asia by athletes from 16 countries, while 7 South and North American countries are to participate in the event, Gobec told reporters on Wednesday. He also informed about a way for reporters to be accredited, adding that it will take only 90 seconds to do the procedure necessary for receiving accreditation papers.
