SPLIT-BASED COMPANY "PONGRAD" TO RECONSTRUCT PORT IN KUWAIT

SPLIT, July 17 (Hina) - Construction company "Pongrad" from the southern Croatian city of Split will conduct a US$12 million worth project on the international market, director of "Pongrad" Mladen Skomrlj said on Saturday. Pongrad won an international bid for tenders for the project of reconstruction of the Kuwaiti port of Mina Al Ahmadiu.#L# According to Skomrlj, Pongrad's civil engineers and experts will be working for the National Petroleum Company in Kuwait during the next three years. Skomrlj said that Pongrad should also conclude a construction agreement with the Egyptian port of Alexandria in the near future. A Pongrad delegation visited Egypt in early July, as a part of a Croatian Economic delegation headed by Foreign Minister Mate Granic. The visit was organised by the Croatian Employees' Association.
